About Highbullen
Highbullen Hotel and Country Club is a characterful country
house hotel located in north Devon. It's within easy reach of
Bristol and Exeter by car, and it's just two hours from London into
a local train station making it easy to get away for a break at any
time.
We like to think of ourselves as a traditional country house hotel
with a slightly eccentric twist. We strive to create a warm
and informal atmosphere to encourage guests to feel immediately at
home. The countryside setting is pretty beautiful (even if we
do say so ourselves!) and the quirky architecture and handpicked
antiques combine to make Highbullen feel like a really special home
away from home.
We're big on fun, friendliness and laughter. We want all our
guests to be able to kick back and relax. After all, that's
what life is really all about isn't it? Taking time to enjoy
the finer things in life and spending time with friends and
family?
When it comes to taking a holiday, everyone has a different set of
requirements. At Highbullen we like to spend time
understanding what each individual guest needs from their time
away.

trails in our Ashaton Wood Nature Reserve in one another's

needs and interests. We are lucky at Highbullen that within
the 210 acre estate we have plenty of space to cater for those
seeking tranquillity and solitude as well as for those looking to
be really active.
A Place For All Seasons
The changing seasons lend new focus to the hotel throughout the
year. During high season and school holidays we really enjoy
the busy atmosphere, meeting our regular family clients and
watching the children grow up. In autumn and spring the
emphasis changes simply because our clients do.
