About Us

The Future of Highbullen

All hotels, quietly behind the scenes have a constant programme of renewal and refurbishment underway. At Highbullen this will be the case over the coming years to ensure that we offer our guests the standard that they desire.  There will be some significant programmes and refurbishments taking place, such as a stargazers' observatory at the top of the tower to make the most of the beautifully clear night skies.  We promise that during these periods we will not take bookings or alternatively we may offer reduced rates during any substantial changes.

Some planned improvements include the proposed orchard, gardens, nature and sculpture trails; the vegetable garden, the wedding garden, the chess garden and the bird watcher's garden.

We have assembled a really creative, award winning team that will blend the existing character of Highbullen with a contemporary twist.  Architect Andy Ramus, Interior Designer Sara Colledge and Garden Designer Julie Johnson will work together to design a quirky fusion of heritage and fresh design.

The aim is to achieve the highest of standards in terms of quality, architectural design, landscaping and sustainability. Attention to detail and the achievement of a "sense of place" will, we hope, achieve an exceptional environment and community in which to enjoy your stay.

We hope you will join with us on this exciting journey to create the ultimate country house getaway. Every time you return, we will be delighted to show you what we have achieved since your last visit.
