It's your day, and we promise it will be perfect right down to the last detail.  We've got stunning gardens for dreamy wedding photos and the outdoor terraces with magnificent views are perfect for drinks and canapés.  With the beautiful Manor house backdrop, getting married at Highbullen has a real country garden wedding feel.

Laughter and love

For 2011 we have limited availability left for weddings in Vista.  Our contemporary function room can accommodate up to 140 guests for a sit down meal, and 200 for the evening party.

Sunshine and happiness

New for 2012 there will be an elegant wedding marquee available by the croquet lawn.  This will be the ultimate romantic setup, surrounded by perfectly manicured lawns and gardens with long views over Exmoor.  As the evening draws in, guests will be able to enjoy music and dancing in the marquee, sit out on the terrace under the stars or retire to the Drawing Room or Cellar Bar for after dinner drinks.

Accommodation

Where there's moonlight and music, and love and romance…

Where better to spend your first night as "Mr and Mrs" than in one of our grand Manor house bedrooms? Once your celebrations for the day have come to a close, drift off to one of our beautifully appointed bedrooms.  Dramatic views over Exmoor, crystal chandeliers, country house antiques, champagne and rose petals… a wonderfully romantic setting for you to start your married life.

There's plenty of room for all your guests too

Your guests can choose from a variety of different hotel room options at Highbullen.  Why not enjoy a longer break and stay in one of our well appointed, spacious, with many offering grand views of the beautiful gardens and sweeping north Devon countryside.  No long car journeys, 'designated driver', or waiting around for public transport at your wedding!  Your guests can just stroll back to their lovely room and relax.   They could even stay an extra night or two and make the most of the wonderful facilities on site at Highbullen - relax in the spa, play a round of golf or try something new from the huge variety of activities on offer.

We can help you create your special day, just how you want it

Every wedding is uniquely special and our team and dedicated wedding planner will help take care of the arrangements to make the whole event as effortless as possible.

At Highbullen Hotel and Country Club we try to avoid industry standard 'hotelese' and as such do not specify minimum numbers, or a minimum spend per guest. The only limitation is how many we can fit in!

Instead of a 'package' price per person multiplied by the number of guests you must have, we instead set a minimum overall spend. This varies depending on the time of the year and the day of the week you choose to get married. We hope that this creates a market for all budgets.

However large or small your wedding you will be able to indulge your guests in our picturesque surroundings and create special memories. We know how important your celebrations are and will guide you through each stage. You will be able to choose and taste the menu and the wines you desire, and our wedding planner will tailor the day to your specific requirements. Provided you achieve the minimum spend agreed we do not charge you room hire. The minimum spend excludes any accommodation reserved and any bar expenditure.

We recognise that your wedding is one of the most important days of your life. We therefore have taken the decision that you will never have to share Highbullen Hotel with another wedding. Should you wish for total privacy we invite you to consider hiring the Manor House and Estate rooms on an exclusive use basis.

Our charming, comfortable bedrooms and unobtrusive hospitality make the perfect pre-wedding solution. You can completely relax, enjoy a wonderful night's sleep, and get ready for your wedding in a calm, peaceful and relaxed environment.   Alternatively some members of the wedding party may wish to make use of our extensive sport and leisure facilities.

Dedicated wedding planner to guide you from the first meeting to the day itself

Spending time at Highbullen

Highbullen is a wonderful destination to come to at any time of the year.  You can de-stress and relax, or let your hair down and try out some new activities.  Treat yourself to a pre-wedding stay with your fiancé, or book a weekend away with friends.  Our golf and spa resort hotel is perfect for stag and hen parties - with such a fabulous array of facilities, there's always plenty to do!

Just the two of us:

Take some time out with your future spouse to relax, laugh and spend some quality time alone.   Organising a wedding is stressful - all the more reason for some pre wedding pampering to re-energise together and get ready for your Big Day.  De-stress with a couples massage in the spa and treat yourselves to some pre wedding beauty and grooming treatments.  Take time out to enjoy a gourmet picnic in the grounds or a sumptuous champagne afternoon tea in the drawing room of the Manor.
