Food & Drink
Restaurants and bars at Highbullen
Food for every occasion - sometimes grand, sometimes modest, always delicious.
Neils Dining Room
Food with a view - gaze over Exmoor as you enjoy breakfast, lunch or dinner in Neil's Dining Room or beyond in The Cellar Restaurant. Wall-to-wall glass gives a stunning panorama of the valleys toward South Molton.
NEWS! - on November the 1st 2011 we will start to serve weekday lunches too! We are taking bookings as of now for this set price choice of three dishes per course. £14.50 for two courses and £17.50.
Join us on Sundays for one of Highbullen's legendary roast
lunches. There is an unashamedly traditional British vibe
with classics such as organic roast pork with apple sauce, or
delicious pear and apple crumble with ginger ice cream served each
week. We have a fabulous spring offer of a free swim voucher when
you eat with us on one of our 'Relaxing Sundays'.
In the evening the seasonal a la carte
and set dinner menus are available from 6.45pm - 9pm. Head
chef Jim and his team of talented local chefs put their own spin on
traditional recipes. The best local produce is used in new and
inventive ways such as a gateau of Devon crab and pink grapefruit
on a bed of crisp fennel, alongside classics such as Devon beef
with horseradish mash.
Children are welcome to dine with their parents and half portions are available for under 12's. Don't forget that for younger guests children's supper is available in The Cellar Restaurant from 5pm-6.30pm.

The Cellar Bar

On the lower ground floor of the Manor house, the atmospheric
Cellar Bar is great for pre-dinner drinks and a chat with friends.
Enjoy the relaxed atmosphere and great food every evening.
The Cellar Restaurant
.
At the heart of the Manor house is The Cellar Restaurant. The
rough stone walls and vaulted brick ceilings give the restaurant a
secluded, intimate atmosphere with space for up to 30 people. This
romantic hideaway is perfect for private evening functions and can
offer tailored menus for special occasions or any of the delicious
food from Neil's menu.
The Green Bar
Perfect post-golf or gym session drinks
and nibbles. Energise with fruit smoothies or robust coffees.
The Green Bar is a great place to sit back, relax and catch up
with friends after a workout or a round of golf. Conveniently located
on the ground floor of the pavilion; you can dine al fresco on the
two outdoor terraces and enjoy sweeping views of Exmoor. Sink into
a sofa and enjoy a coffee, tea, or something alcoholic.
If you've got an early start to meet your golf tee
time, why not drop in for breakfast? Kick-start your day with a
bacon roll or poached eggs from the farm round the corner. If
you're stopping for lunch The Green Bar offers a range of light
bites including savoury muffins, salads, soups and paninis.
In the evening, The Green Bar becomes a place to socialise after a
long day at work or at the end of an energetic work out.
