Join us for a week at Highbullen Hotel and Country Club, to regain, maintain or even discover the you you want to be. This revitalising and energising programme combines a balanced nutritional plan, diverse exercise regime and even a dash of relaxation.
Increasing self-esteem, removing fat and gaining the fitness level
and muscle tone you want requires effort and commitment. Our team
provide the guidance and encouragement you need to realise that
previous barriers can be overcome and ultimately removed. The
Fitness Retreat's disciplined program will build your
self-confidence and fill you with belief that you will succeed.
Positive fitness
We want you to enjoy your Fitness Retreat at the same time as reaching your goals, so you won't find any kind of 'Bootcamp' style attitude here. Instead we'll be positively encouraging you to make changes to shape your lifestyle as our professional team help you discover your inner determination.
A Typical Day
Each day will be full of activities, structured and organized so that you get the most from your time with us at The Fitness Retreat. Averaging at 6 hours of exercise a day, starting no earlier than 7am.

"Recently after a bout of ill health I decided to get my act together and invest in a fitness course. I wanted to lose some weight, but more importantly I needed to start eating well balanced meals and kick start myself into an exercise regime.
The course was pretty difficult. Up at the crack of dawn for
circuit training, then a very basic breakfast followed by a fitness
test, followed by a very small lunch with delicious soup - the
nutritious menus were designed to give us enough energy to do the
work. However we were not allowed caffeine and were totally
de-toxed by the end of the course!
The afternoon sessions ranged from Zumba, Pilates, Yoga, Kenpo,
Swimming, pool games, weight exercises, body blast, boxing,
spinning to name but a few. There was plenty of variety and
certainly no time to be bored. It was pretty exhausting and each
night we were ready for bed by 9pm.
I met some lovely people; we were all different ages with
different levels of fitness.
Marie is a fantastic trainer, she is enthusiastic and encouraging
but more than that, she has empathy, gives lots of support and
manages to motivate someone like me, to whom exercise really
doesn't come naturally or often.
She is a professional, well-organised and very focused
person and I hope some of it has rubbed off on me. It was a
challenging week. However, I was really pleased to complete, it and
felt I had really achieved something.
I came away feeling elated and much more self confident than I
have in a long while. Even my husband thought I was looking
great! I would certainly recommend Marie to my friends and look
forward to the next course as I think it would be ideal to embark
on a top up at least once a year!"

"The best holiday of my life! I've never worked so hard or been pushed to my limits in such an encouraging, supporting and exceptionally fun way. I've had various types of personal training and weight loss instruction before but none to rival my heaven and hell holiday experience. In one week I managed to sweat my way to losing 7lb, 5inches and 4%body fat! All the while the clever structure of my course ensured I never felt the most unfit or overweight and therefore gave 100% effort in return. Incredible.

"The first thing I want to say to Marie is Thank you. With her I
realized how much is was important to have a healthier life style
and how much it is important to feel good within our body.
Marie is someone who really likes her job and she was made to help
people to achieve for what they came for. I wasn't very happy when
I saw Marie at first, because I knew that it was going to be a hard
week. But she was always there for me and pushed me to my limit and
she knew how much it meant to me to lose weight.
Even after that week when I came home she sends me e-mails to know
how I was doing and she even became a friend! I didn't
hesitate to come back because I knew that Marie will always be
behind me to encourage myself to do things harder and better. I
really felt a big difference each time that I returned.
With her advice I lost weight and I'm still losing weight. The
road was long but she always told me "don't look at the 40 kg's you
need to loose but look at the first 5 and to continue like that."
And it's true I've lost more than 15 kilo's and the next step will
be the next 5.
I've really noticed a difference in my life in general, I don't
feel ashamed to play sport with friends, I feel better in my
clothes, I feel less tired & I sleep better.
I really want to recommend this course and Marie. She will help
you to achieve your goals and you will definitely feel better
afterwards and you will want to come back even though the week is
hard. To see the results afterwards is the best reward that you can
get."
